Today was an early start as we had a trip at 5.30 in the morning in a canoe into the rainforest which enabled us to go deep into the forest – absolutely amazing.

We heard some howler monkeys and came across a young cayman

We came across some birds and an iguana

This was a truly amazing experience and we got back in time for breakfast.

A great start to my birthday and after opening some lovely cards from my daughters and 3 grandsons we have had a lazy day by the pool

We have finished the day with dinner on the floating restaurant – which actually went up and down the river whilst we were eating – magical

A perfect end to the day 😊
