Today we left Tojan lodge to travel to El Romanso. This meant a challenging journey back to the highway and then along highway 2 to then drop down to the coast road and our first sight of the Pacific. The temperature was rising all the time.
We then had to leave the main highway to head into the Osa peninsula and head for Puerto Jiménez where we would leave our car and be taken to the resort. We had trouble finding the meeting place but linked up in the end.
The journey in the resort vehicle was interesting along a dirt track but the welcome we received was delightful.
The El Remanso lodges are superb and very eco friendly. There are a number of activities we can choose from.

The view from our balcony is wonderful and we saw some scarlet macaws, toucans and a lot or other birds

It has been a long day so relaxed in the bar before dinner during happy hour.
